Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bihar, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh from June 20 to 21, 2025, where he launched and laid the foundation stone of major infrastructure and governance-related projects worth over ₹24,400 crore.

  • - On June 20, 2025, in Siwan, Bihar, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation of 28 development projects amounting to ₹5,200 crore. These initiatives include infrastructure upgrades such as the new Vaishali–Deoria railway line project (₹400 crore) and the virtual flag-off of the Patliputra–Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express, India’s 71st semi-high-speed train, which will run 384 km in about 7 hours.
  • - During the Bihar visit, he also flagged off the first export locomotive manufactured at the Marhowrah Diesel Locomotive Factory in Saran, Bihar, for shipment to Guinea (West Africa), showcasing India’s Make-in-India capabilities in rail infrastructure.
  • - On June 20, 2025, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, PM Modi marked one year of the Odisha State Government’s formation by launching 105 development projects worth ₹18,600 crore. These included infrastructure, housing, urban development, and energy sector initiatives.
