In June 2025, Air India (Tata Group-owned, based in New Delhi) and Icelandair (based in Reykjavik, Iceland) signed a codeshare agreement to boost air connectivity between India and Europe via Iceland.

  • (ii) Icelandair customers can access Air India-operated flights from Delhi to Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, and London Heathrow, and from Mumbai to Frankfurt and London Heathrow, under Icelandair’s 'FI' flight code.
  • (iii) The collaboration is expected to strengthen tourism, business, and trade ties between India and Iceland, positioning Reykjavik as a new gateway to Europe for Indian travelers.
