In December 2024, India will provide Rs 2,371 million to Sri Lanka for 33 development projects in the sectors of education, health, and agriculture in the eastern province.

  • - Nalinda Jayathissa, the Cabinet Spokesman and Health Minister of Sri Lanka, announced that the Sri Lankan government has approved a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral ties and promote socio-economic growth between India and Sri Lanka.
