On August 29, 2025, India and Bhutan formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Thimphu to bolster collaboration in agriculture and allied sectors. The agreement was signed by Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, and Thinley Namgyel, Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Royal Government of Bhutan. This initiative underscores the shared commitment of both nations to sustainable agriculture, food security, and rural development.
