On August 22, 2025, the Government of Maharashtra signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global India Business Corridor (GIBC) to boost bilateral business cooperation between India and the United Kingdom (UK). The agreement was signed in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

  • - The MoU aims to strengthen cross-border business partnerships by promoting trade, investment, and innovation between Maharashtra and Europe, particularly the UK. GIBC will act as a key facilitator, creating new avenues of global economic collaboration.
  • - Under the agreement, GIBC will function as an extended arm of Maharashtra’s Industries Department in the UK and Europe, helping to attract investments and enabling technology transfers.
