Ahead of the Puri Rath Yatra 2025, East Coast Railway (ECoR) recently introduced the ‘ECoR Yatra’ Android app, providing real-time train updates, special train schedules, platform information, and passenger amenities to enhance pilgrims’ travel experience.

  • - The app delivers live updates on train schedules, arrivals, departures, and platform assignments—helping devotees track their trains efficiently and reducing reliance on station announcements.
  • - It includes a comprehensive list of special Rath Yatra trains (from June 25 to July 7) as well as regular timetable information, enabling pilgrims to plan their journeys well in advance.

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) Integrated with NTES and IRCTC, the app allows users to check PNR status, fare information, reserving and unreserved bookings, plus locate retiring rooms, tourist huts, ticket counters, and unreserved UTS kiosks.
  • (ii) It provides details on key facilities including drinking water points, medical aid booths, wheelchair access, battery-operated carts, and emergency help numbers—ensuring safety for seniors and differently-abled pilgrims.
  • (iii) To aid first-time users, the app features short tutorial videos on ticketing via ATVMs and UTS Mobile, plus multilingual navigation and real-time emergency notifications—making the journey stress-free and user-friendly.
