Wildlife Institute of India Hosts ICCON 2025 to Tackle Biodiversity Challenges and Boost Conservation Research.

From June 25 to 27, 2025, the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, will host the Indian Conservation Conference (ICCON) 2025, India’s flagship platform for environmental science and policy. Over 500 delegates from India and Global South nations will gather to exchange ideas and promote cross-sectoral solutions to urgent biodiversity issues.

  • - ICCON 2025 is being organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India. The conference will be inaugurated by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, MoEFCC, on June 25, 2025, at the Wildlife Institute of India in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
  • - The three-day summit brings together scientists, researchers, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers, youth, NGOs, and global policymakers to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation for biodiversity conservation, with an emphasis on India’s most pressing ecological challenges.
