In June 2025, the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), based in Hyderabad, Telangana, along with Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Bhartiya Beej Sahkari Samiti Limited (BBSSL), both based in New Delhi, signed a Tripartite Service Agreement to establish the 'Beej Anusandhan Kendra (BAK)' – a state-of-the-art seed research and development center in Kalol, Gujarat.
