Department of Posts Launches 'Know Your DIGIPIN' and 'Know Your PIN Code' Online Platforms. App and Web Portal | Dated: 01 Jun 2025 In May 2025, the Department of Posts (DoP) under the Ministry of Communications (MoC) launched two transformative web platforms: ‘Know Your DIGIPIN (Digital Postal Index Number)’ and ‘Know Your PIN Code’. 🎯 Key Highlights: - This initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing India’s addressing system and enhancing geospatial governance. - Both digital platforms align with the National Geospatial Policy 2022, which aims to build a robust geospatial infrastructure to support digital governance and improve public service delivery. 💡 Other Important Facts: (i) The DIGIPIN is an open-source, interoperable, geo-coded, grid-based digital address system.
