In May 2025, the Government of India (GoI) gifted 15 Electric Vehicles (EVs) to Nepal to support logistical arrangements for the inaugural Sagarmatha Sambaad, a global dialogue on climate change scheduled from 16 to 18 May 2025 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

  • - The EVs were officially handed over by the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, to Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Arzu Rana Deuba, during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu.
