  • (i) FIFA has selected 8 host cities and their stadiums in Brazil for the tournament: Rio de Janeiro (Maracanã Stadium), Belo Horizonte (Mineirão Stadium), Brasília (National Stadium), Fortaleza (Castelão Arena), Porto Alegre (Beira-Rio Stadium), Recife (Pernambuco Arena), Salvador (Fonte Nova Arena), and São Paulo (Itaquera Arena). Notably, these 8 venues were among the 12 that hosted matches during the FIFA Men’s World Cup.
  • (ii) Brazil secured the hosting rights through a voting process, receiving 119 votes, defeating the joint European bid submitted by Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, which received 78 votes. This strong mandate reflected broad international support for Brazil's proposal.
