He underscored India's dedication to collaborative space exploration and emphasized that the nation’s space journey focuses on collective progress rather than rivalry.

  • - The event, held from May 7-9, 2025, took place in New Delhi, Delhi, and was organized by the Paris-based International Astronautical Federation (IAF) in association with the Bengaluru-based Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Astronautical Society of India (ASI).

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) PM Modi highlighted the significance of the Chandrayaan missions in lunar exploration. Chandrayaan-1 (2008) was pivotal in discovering water on the Moon, Chandrayaan-2 (2019) provided high-resolution images, and Chandrayaan-3 (2023) made India the first country to land near the Moon's south pole.
  • (ii) In 2014, India's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) (Mangalyaan) made India the first Asian country to reach Mars orbit, and the first in the world to do so on its maiden attempt.
  • (iii) India plans to establish its own space station, the Bharatiya Antariksha Station, by 2035.
