In May 2025, India and Denmark renewed their long-term energy cooperation by signing a fresh Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at strengthening collaboration in the energy sector and reinforcing their shared commitment to accelerating the global clean energy transition.

Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Ambassador of Denmark to India, in the presence of Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who holds charge of the Ministry of Power (MoP) and the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), in New Delhi (Delhi).
  • - The renewed agreement follows five years of successful collaboration under the initial MoU signed on June 5, 2020, which was originally set to expire on June 5, 2025.
  • - This proactive renewal ensures uninterrupted dialogue and cooperation, supporting a smooth extension of joint efforts in energy development.
