In April 2025, Rajasthan Royals’ (RR’s) Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged just 14, became the youngest player to score a century (100 runs) in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

(ii) Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 101 runs from just 38 balls at an astonishing strike rate of 265.79. His innings included 11 sixes, which is the joint-most by an Indian in a single IPL innings, along with 7 fours.
(iii) He scored 94 out of his 101 runs through boundaries, setting a new IPL record for the highest percentage of runs from boundaries in a century.
