Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Ministry of Defence (MoD), launched the "Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan" mobile application and website on January 15, 2025, coinciding with the 77th Indian Army Day. The app enables civilians to visit and explore significant battlefields along India's borders.

  • - The app was jointly developed by the MoD, Ministry of Tourism (MoT), and the Indian Army (IA).
  • - The app serves as a comprehensive guide for tourists, offering historical insights, battle accounts, stories of bravery, travel details, and applications for permissions to visit restricted areas.
  • - It provides detailed information on 77 battlefield sites, giving visitors an in-depth understanding of major military events in Indian history.

  • (i) Tourists can explore iconic locations like Siachen, the world's highest battlefield, and Galwan, the site of the 2020 conflict between Indian and Chinese forces.
  • (ii) Through the app's virtual tours and interactive multimedia features, users can explore significant sites such as the Dras War Memorial (Kargil War, 1999) in Ladakh, Walong War Memorial (Battle of Walong, 1962) in Arunachal Pradesh (AR), Tawang War Memorial in AR, Longewala War Memorial in Rajasthan, and Operation Meghdoot War Memorial in Ladakh. Other notable locations include Kibithoo and Bum-La in AR, Rezang-La and Pangong Tso in Ladakh, as well as the Cho-La conflict site in Sikkim.
