In January 2025, Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (previously known as Titagarh Wagons Limited) took a major step forward in India's urban transportation by delivering the country’s first driverless, Made-in-India trainset to Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

  • - The delivery is an important milestone for the Yellow Line of Bengaluru Metro, which covers an 18-kilometer stretch starting from Electronics City. This move is in line with India's vision of becoming a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.

  • (i) The trainset was built at Titagarh Rail’s metro manufacturing facility in Uttarpara, West Bengal (WB).
